Marcus is an artist and interior designer who was raised on Cape Cod and is now based in Boston, by way of New York.

Trained in architecture, with both undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field, Marcus has built a career designing highly considered residential interiors. His work has always lived somewhere between art and design.

Painting began as a creative outlet as soon as he was able to pick up a brush and gradually became an extension of the same ideas that inform his interiors: color, composition, material, and a strong sense of place.

His work is influenced by architecture, atmosphere, art history, materiality, color theory, and travel, as well as the collected interiors he is drawn to—spaces that feel layered, personal, textured, and a little unexpected.

When he isn't painting, Marcus works full time as an interior designer.
